Health, Science and Society Research Group

Christina Holmes, PhD

We use qualitative and ethnographic methods, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration in order to study the intersection between scientific knowledge creation and the social determinants of health in order to improve the use of science, knowledge, and technology towards enhanced population health. Current projects include 1) Public Health Governance; 2) The scientific and technical needs of local farmers and their role in food security. Our research group also has a history of using qualitative methods to understand patient experiences of health care. See the Research Gate link below for more information.
